Body And Mind Are One – By Thich Nhat Hanh

Be honest to yourself when you read these lines – You are speaking to someone you care about on a call or in a room and find that you are distracted after a few minutes into the conversation? You find that a part of you is engaging with the person you are talking to and a part of you is somewhere else – I am sure you have been through such moments many times, Right?

Have you wondered why does this happen?

According to Thich Nhat Hanh, we must bring our mind home to our body in order to enter “the realm of the here and now,” where we discover our true aliveness and genuine connection to ourselves and others.

This is the theme of the online program called Body and Mind are One: A 8-week Online Training in Mindfulness. It is possible to learn how to drop distractions and synchronize our minds with the living pulse of our bodies. And when we do, what we discover is the wonder and wakefulness of our own true presence – The greatest gift we can give to others – Do you agree with me?

In this post I shall share with you what you will learn and get in this online program, but before I reveal the details let us meet our beloved and legendary Zen teacher.

Meet Your Teacher

Thich Nhat HanhThich Nhat Hanh is a Zen Master, a scholar, poet, and peace activist, renowned for his powerful teachings and bestselling writings on mindfulness and peace. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. called him “an apostle of peace and nonviolence” when nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1967. Exiled from his native Vietnam for almost four decades, Thich Nhat Hanh has been a pioneer bringing Buddhism and mindfulness to the West, establishing an engaged Buddhist community for the 21st Century.

This soft-spoken Zen master radiates a sense of freedom and loving-kindness that is a dharma transmission in itself. Yet the clarity of intellect also stands out. Thay (as his students call him) has a unique way of bringing into sharp focus the most subtle revelations of Buddhism – interbeing, emptiness, samadhi, the seeds of store consciousness, and much more in a subtle way that it instantly connects to you.

The practices that he offers are refreshing and unique: simple breathing based mantras that allow us to actually experience many profound concepts immediately and directly.

  1. Hi Satish,

Body And Mind Are One – By Thich Nhat Hanh is a fabulous course, and I totally agreed with you that these stuffs do work. We live our life everyday, driving in traffic and 99% of time we don’t even pay attention not even to the taste of food because we are so much in rush.
I took this 8 week website based course early 2018 and I must say is amazing able to meditate and train yourself to be in the moment. I definitely recommend this course for anyone especially in this time of crisis if they can and at this discounted price.
